Global Task Force Overlord opened our doors to the public on December 30th 2024! Since that day more than 130 active members have joined our ranks and flown beside their peers.
Thank you for the enormous amount of support that has come from each and every one of you!
Operation Beach Umbrella
Our cold war campaign codename Operation Beach Umbrella has launched! The CIA has released a post briefing on the kickoff sortie. The declassified brief can be found at https://docs.google.com/document/d/1uC57xCqkaJ5kA78AaDY4ejLsb14AcFXAjcOXbLrKxJ4/edit?tab=t.0 (Huge thank you to GTFO Council Member Maraud for typing this up). All cold war squadrons participated in a familiarity flight prior to the first sortie, WARSAW forces intercepted NATO airframes as they entered WARSAW airspace. National news outlets reported the following:
“USSR forces who were used to sleeping in and operating un-interrupted were surprised Sunday morning when they were awoken by the EW team to reports of NATO aircraft headed to Cyprus. NATO forces were observing the island and USSR 621st and 62nd intercepted them. All pilots showed how the tension has built over the years. Lack of sorties along with being sworn enemies forced to work together before the forces split has led to extreme tension between USSR and NATO forces. During the chaos low flying NATO aircraft caused lots of confusion and reduced SA at Paphos among the ground forces. This led to a miscommunication between USSR command and the 322nd ADA battery. They engaged a pilot in the 13th FS (Phantom) unexpectedly killing the pilot and destroying the aircraft. NATO pilots retreated back to Turkey after this incident. Everyone is anxiously awaiting NATO’s response to this aggression.” - GTFO Council Member RyRy

Operation Steel Rain
GTFO’s Modern Campaign is set to kick off next weekend. Intel Reports show the following:
TEL AVIV - 08FEB25 1600Z
Intelligence reports from within Syria indicate a significant escalation of tensions at the strategic port city of Tartus. Sources within the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) express growing concern over the "Midnight Sun" insurgency's attempts to establish a naval presence.
Despite capturing a significant number of naval assets during their "liberation" of Syria, the Midnight Sun regime has struggled to effectively utilize these vessels. Reports suggest that a fleet of ships, including patrol boats, aging frigates and even an aircraft carrier, remains largely inoperable due to a severe lack of trained personnel and logistical support.
"These vessels, once a symbol of Syrian naval power, now sit idle, rusting away in the port," stated an unnamed senior IDF official. "The Midnight Sun, despite their bluster, lack the expertise and experience to effectively operate a modern navy. This incompetence, however, should not be underestimated. They are a dangerous regime with ambitions that extend beyond their current capabilities."
The IDF is closely monitoring the situation in Tartus, particularly the movement of personnel and equipment to the port. Intelligence indicates a significant increase in the deployment of troops and military hardware, including the movement of heavy artillery and the activation of additional air defense batteries. Some sources also indicate witnessing low level fly-overs of divisions of fighter aircraft over the populated area of Tartus which primarily houses the labor force for the Port.
"Their threats are not to be taken lightly," the official continued. "The Midnight Sun regime has demonstrated a willingness to use force to achieve its objectives. Their pursuit of naval dominance poses a direct threat to regional stability and Israel's own maritime interests. Intelligence suggests that senior Midnight Sun officials have issued veiled threats to those responsible for the slow progress in naval development. These threats include potential purges within the military leadership, the seizure of assets belonging to families of those deemed responsible, and even the targeting of critical infrastructure within Syria, such as power plants and communication networks, to pressure those involved in the naval development program."
GTFO Squadrons will be dispatched to maintain peace in the region. C-130J’s will be flying into the AO within the week to ensure that NATO forces remain well armed and combat ready. No further information is available on Operation Steel Rain at this time.
